Unique Hotel with a great Vibe!

Stayed here while doing a mini vacation to everything Ford. Loved the room, food, workout facility and location. Great service and excellent staff. Only hint is that there is free parking right along the side of the hotel - no need to pay for valet as we thought when we first pulled in

Beautiful but a little loud

Location - If you aren't familiar with the area and your GPS is iffy, not the easiest place to find but not awful. Lobby/public spaces - Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. Christmas tree was amazing the lobby and the art in the hallways is beautiful Staff - The afternoon/evening staff was amazing, Jo at the desk was great and everyone I interacted with was friendly and great, including the restaurant. I'll leave a more detailed review on the restaurant page, but breakfast was an awful mess as far as service went. Check out staff wasn't near as friendly as the people checking in were but they weren't rude or anything. Room service was quite prompt and pleasant to deal with over the phone and in person. Pool/hot tub is very pretty. Didn't use the pool but the very hot hot tub was used for a little bit. Housekeeping- everything in the room and public areas was immaculate. And we did late checkout and they never bothered us, which is practically unheard of. Rooms - this is the one place that took my review down a star. Some of the modern art took a little to get used to it but we liked most of it after a bit. Our room had two double beds and they were very small beds. I would not have wanted to share one. The pillows were also king size pillows so I don't know how you would share those. Bed was firmer then I like but still comfortable. Or maybe I was so tired I didn't notice. Room was impressingly dark so that's a win. And here is the biggest problem, the noise. You could hear every conversation in the hallway and every slamming door being shut. As there were wedding and parties in the hotel, we didn't even attempt to go to bed till after midnight. I can guarantee we would have been woken up if we hadn't. There is no fan in the bathroom and the only mirror in the room is on the inside of the closet door so no way to dry your hair while your friend showers. The hand towel holders are very low, like have to bend down to reach them. Kind of a weird design Parking - well it sucks. Even the close spaces are a hike to the hotel door and there are not enough spaces for all the guests plus event attendees. My cousin and I met at the hotel from our respective towns so valet for two cars would be quite expensive. The positives do outweigh the negatives and I would stay here again. I will bring the white noise sound machine next time though

Service was top notch

We enjoyed our stay very much. The best part was the prompt service. I requested a rollaway bed and one was delivered and set up within minutes. Self parking was a little scarce in the evening and I probably should have sprung for the valet

A great Marriott property

Overview: The Henry is an autograph collection hotel by Marriott. An autograph collection hotel is a luxury Marriott hotel that showcases art throughout the building. The Henry is located in Dearborn, Michigan, directly next to the Fairlane mall and many restaurants including Giovanni, Edison's, and Andiamo's. Additionally, the hotel is close to the Southfield Freeway which runs from Detroit out to the suburbs. The Food: The Henry has a restaurant on site called TRIA. They serve breakfast every morning and have great service. The restaurant is a peaceful area where you can go in the morning to have a great breakfast without having to leave the hotel. You can choose to use the buffet or order something off the menu, which is provided via an iPad. The Concierge Lounge: The concierge lounge offers great views since one wall is lined with windows. By looking out, you can see the Ambassador Bridge that crosses into Canada. You can also make yourself a hot chocolate at the Starbucks machine in the corner or grab a cold water or soda for your room. On this level, there is also a computer and printer to print your boarding passes for your flight. The Rooms: The rooms in the Henry are very spacious and clean. The two room configuration includes a master bedroom, a common living room, and another bedroom with two queen beds. There are 2.5 bathrooms in this configuration. There are televisions in each of the rooms, and they contain standard channels including History, Discovery, and Disney, but you can also log into your Netflix account. The rooms have high speed Internet that works very well. The toiletries are Tarocco which just exemplifies the luxury feeling of this hotel. Valet Parking: The Henry offers valet parking which is very useful during busy times of the year or when it is raining or snowing. I have used this service often and have never had any problems with it being slow or getting the wrong car. Additionally, the doorman is very friendly and always seems to remember us year after year. Amenities: The Henry has an indoor swimming pool along with a gym on the first level. The gym has standard equipment such as ellipticals, treadmills, and basic weight lifting equipment. The indoor pool is great and includes a hot tub. There are chairs all around the pool where you can relax, with towels rolled up and ready for use. Staff: The staff at The Henry are always kind and helpful. I have never had any problems with them and enjoy the great service. They are always trying to make your stay a wonderful experience. Art: The Henry is an autograph collection hotel, so there is art everywhere you look throughout the building. From the lobby to the hallways and even your room, there are exquisite sculptures and unique paintings. I have been to The Henry many times over the years when we go to Michigan, and I always have a great experience. I would recommend the hotel to anybody staying in the Detroit area. From the staff to the amenities, The Henry is truly a luxury hotel and helps make your visit a trip to remember
