Hospitality... in the word's honest meaning...

The Henry is one of the very few hotels I frequently stay at where the staff *REALLY* makes you feel like you're coming home!!!! Front desk, bell staff, restaurant crew and who ever else is working there to create that "coming home away from home"-feeling... never short of a genuine smile and a helping hand. I travel a fair lot and while many hotels provide a professional customer service and approach The Henry crew is also very professional but very cordial at that!!!!! I don't mind the location (yes, a bit off the beaten paths), the rooms are cozy, the food quality in the restaurant has dramatically changed to the positives and after the renovation of the indoor pool and gym (rather... how shall I put it... small) it's a great way to unwind. If you're travels lead you to Detroit try The Henry... you'll love it!!

Good choice when in Dearborn

Clean rooms with cool artwork and very friendly staff. Comfy beds and towels. Indoor pool is nice (for an indoor pool) and more gym machines than typical hotels. Cool art displayed and for sale in the lobby/common areas. I would not at all refer to this as a boutique or unique hotel, which I think is how they market it, but still nice. Could use more parking spots - was there during a dance competition on site and had to park very far away. Really dislike the rotating front door - while it might save them some $ in heating/cooling bills it is very challenging for the elderly, young children, and dogs to navigate - allow people to use the regular doors too vs. having your bell hops block it off

Comfortable but not luxurious

Stayed here for a weekend in order to see a Pistons game and enjoy Detroit. Good news is, it's close to DTW airport and also close to Ann Arbor. Bad news is, there really isn't anything else out here except for a mall (ugh) and the Henry Ford Museum. Hotel itself could be better--gym is sort of ratty and has few aerobic machines. Pool is small but servicable. Artwork adorning the main hallway really needs to be curated better as it's a dog's breakfast. Best part of this hotel is the concierge, Paul--he saved us by giving us a great wine store nearby and also was super-pleasant and helpful and thoughtful in helping us with umbrellas

The Henry stands out as One of the Best Hotels in Detroit

This property is one of the best in Detroit which does not have many options when it comes to upscale hotels. The Henry brings that atmosphere and style from a bygone era, blended with modernity in an eclectic style. The design and decorations are outstanding. Rooms are fresh and spacious. Food is delicious. Service needs to improve, but I have to say the GM, Mr. Osborne is on top of things and a master of hospitality. I was impressed in my interactions with him. This property is ideally located and accessible
