Detroit Zoo
Located 2 miles north of the Detroit city limits, the Detroit Zoo is home to more than 3,300 animals representing 280 different species. The scenic 125-acre zoo features incredible natural habitats and wildlife exhibits that include the Arctic Ring of Life, Butterfly Garden, African Grasslands, Asian Forest, Great Apes of Harambee, Penguinarium, and the Australian Outback. Meet the tigers, apes, black bears, red pandas, rhinos, and giraffes, ride the ornate carousel and see movies in the 4-D Theater. Many events are hosted at the zoo throughout the year, like Sunset and the Summer Safari Camp.Details
